出生一个月的新生儿发烧的原因有很多，除感染因素外，环境过热、失水均可引起发烧。可靠的依据是体温，当体温超过37℃时应视为发烧，并伴随面红、烦躁、呼吸急促、吃奶时口鼻出气热、手脚发烫等表明是发烧。体温不超过38℃时不要随便服药，应采用物理降温，即：
　　1、调整室温22℃～24℃左右；
　　2、打开包被，解开衣服以散热；
　　3、用温水洗澡；给宝宝喂些温开水。
　　4、体温升至39℃可短时在宝宝头下枕一个冷水袋(非冰袋)，肚皮上放置温湿毛巾，用温水沾湿孩子前额、颈部、腋下、大腿根部等大血管走行处，不宜采用酒精浴。发烧严重者及感染引起的发烧应迅速带孩子去医院，不要自行随便用药。
　　出生1～3个月的宝宝发烧的原因多为感染尤其是呼吸道感染引起，如感冒、肺炎等、中耳炎、淋巴结炎及皮肤发炎。此时，要：
　　1、体温低于39℃时多喂水，多休息；
　　2、采用酒精浴，具体做法是将75%的酒精或60°左右的白酒中兑入一倍的温水，用小毛巾沾拭腋下、颈部和腹股沟部位。
　　3、体温高于39℃时请在医生指导下用药。病毒感染时引起的发热可持续3～5天甚至一周，只要诊断明确就要耐下心来护理，连续跑几家医院不仅不利于宝宝休息，还会增加感染其他疾病的机会，如果重复应用同类药易使体温下降过快，甚至导致虚脱而危及生命。
